Custom Wigs & Cold Caps
Losing your hair due to cancer treatment can be a challenging and emotional experience that can impact your self-image and sense of identity. However, at More Than a Cure, we believe that every woman deserves to feel confident and beautiful throughout her journey. Maintaining one's dignity and sense of self, has also been shown to improve clinical outcomes. That's why we collaborate with local hair salons across Canada to provide custom wigs and cold caps to women who may not be able to afford them. Let us help you fight cancer with dignity and grace - because you are strong, beautiful, and deserving of the very best care.

How do cold cap's work?
Cold caps work by constricting the blood vessels in your scalp and preventing the chemotherapy from attacking hair follicles which cause hair loss.

How effective is the treatment?
Depending on your chemotherapy regimen, cold caps will be effective in helping you to maintain up to 70-80% of your natural hair. Scalp cooling can contribute to a confidence boost during a difficult time.

Free Educational Videos & Resources
MTAC understands that knowledge is power, especially for individuals facing breast cancer. To empower women battling breast cancer, the organization will offer a range of free, pre-recorded online educational videos that provide essential information on various topics related to breast cancer treatment and care. These workshops will include valuable resources such as "How to Perform a Breast Examination," which equips women with the knowledge to detect cancer early, "Chemotherapy & Surgery Prep," which provides guidance on preparing for and coping with treatment, and education on navigating and advocating for oneself while on this challenging journey.
Through these workshops, MTAC aims to enable women to be active participants in their own care, to ask questions, and to make informed decisions about their health. By providing free access to this critical information, MTAC aims to reduce the fear and uncertainty associated with breast cancer and to promote greater confidence, resilience, and overall well-being.
